Jersey Team Volunteer at Hamptonne Country Life Museum for Jersey Heritage Trust
The Jersey team spent the day volunteering on Monday 10th June 2024, for Jersey Heritage Trust at the Hamptonne Country Life Museum site in St Lawrence. The team helped spruce up their newly extended exhibition room by adding flowers and herbs into the bedding areas. They also cleared and weeded a wooded area next to the children’s playground.
It was a great team effort, especially as one of the chickens took an interest in their work and was determined to dig the flowers up! Overall a really successful day. Sinead Maguire, Business Development & Jersey Office Manager said ...
I absolutely loved our volunteering day, a real privilege to help such a wonderful charity that are so dedicated to protecting Jersey’s heritage. The team worked so hard to ensure we did our absolute best in the time we had - I’m very proud of the effort everyone put in. As a treat, we also got to hear about the farms history and even got to sample their homemade cider! Also, a huge thanks for Morgan Ward for facilitating everything and for being a great foreman. I hope we can return sometime soon.
