Peter Walpole receives inaugural “Outstanding Service to the Insurance Industry” Award

We are very proud and delighted to announce that Peter Walpole ACII, the founder of Insurance Corporation, received the inaugural Insurance Institute of Guernsey (IIG) Award for Outstanding Service to the Insurance Industry at the recent IIG annual dinner.

Sarah Beatty, the local IIG President, said “Peter Walpole has been a pillar of our local insurance community for the past 35 years. This year marks Peter’s retirement and it would be remiss of the IIG to let this occasion pass without recognising and celebrating not only the level of service Peter has given to the local insurance industry but also the influence Peter has had in shaping our local insurance market into what it is today. Peter is a true entrepreneur who was also ahead of his time with how he thought about and supported our environment and healthcare in the Islands. The IIG are very proud to have had him as part of our industry.”

Peter received a standing ovation upon accepting his award at the annual IIG dinner. Peter said “I was very honoured to receive this Award as a leader of a great team that has evolved so successfully over the years”.
