We're delighted for Insurance Corporation team member Simone Le Goff who has recently obtained ACII Status.

"ICCI has a strong history in supporting professional qualifications and I am absolutely delighted that Simone joins the group of employees who have achieved the ACII qualification. The hard work and dedication needed to complete this, is not insignificant and is testiment to Simone's dedication to enhancing her technical knowledge" Mandy Hunt, General Manager

We spoke to Simone to find out more about her experience during the ACII process...

What is your role at ICCI and how long have you worked for the company?

I am a claims administrator. I handle commercial property and property owner claims in the main, some of which can be quite complex and challenging at times. I have worked at ICCI since 2006, leaving briefly for a sabbatical to travel.

What has the process been in regards to gaining the ACII status, and what does it mean?

The process to gain the Award was initially quite daunting as I had been out of education for sometime, however, by formulating a study plan this enabled me to progress quite quickly and smoothly. The award is made up of a number of units which are obtained by passing exams, written assignments and written coursework.

The ACII is a 'professional' qualification awarded to experienced and expert market practitioners.

Have you enjoyed the opportunity to develop your career whilst working at ICCI? What support have you received?

When I originally joined ICCI, I had no experience in insurance, so I have been able to develop my knowledge and understanding of insurance practice and enhance my technical skills. ICCI have always encouraged me to  study and have supported me which I am very grateful for.

What does gaining ACII status mean to you?

Gaining the ACII status is a real achievement for me, it has provided me with knowledge and confidence to undertake my job to the best of my ability.

What are your plans and career ambitions moving forward?

My plans for the future are to continue to develop my skills and knowledge by ensuring I remain competent and up to date and are able to adapt positively to change.
