Time To Talk Day
Time To Talk Day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. It’s a day for friends, families, communities and workplaces to come together to talk and listen. Talking about mental health is never easy but one conversation has the power to change lives.
Here at Insurance Corporation we make every day a ‘time to talk day’. Our employee’s wellbeing is at the top of our priorities. We provide an open and inclusive culture, managing our team members’ individual needs, particularly through more difficult and challenging times and finding flexible solutions to help them. By providing a supportive environment, our team can bring their whole self to work.
We have one fully trained Mental Health First Aider but we are extending our mental health offering this year to include a fully trained staff mental health first aider. We recognise that staff may spot a shift in someone’s demeanour as they work so closely together. Providing another avenue for staff to talk, is another opportunity to provide assistance to our team when they need us most.
Over the past year we have also extended our mental health and wellbeing offering by committing to becoming the first Channel Islands Menopause Friendly employer and we continue to work towards this accreditation.
More recently we have also provided the opportunity for all our staff to benefit from the Lloyds Bank Financial wellbeing checks and arranged a member of Lloyds staff to come in and speak to our teams on an individual basis.
Whatever the topic of conversation may be, however busy we are in our day jobs, make space in your day for a conversation – you never know you could change someone’s life today #timetotalkday
