La Carriere Stables Winter Jumping Series Championship Finale
Despite the strong winds, rain and hail there was a great turn out at the La Carriere Stables Winter Jumping Series Championship finale on Sunday.
We were delighted to catch up with Ellie Mauger and her new pony ‘Roddy’. This was Ellie’s first competition since getting Roddy and Ellie told Michelle, our HR & PR Executive, that she was a little nervous to see how he would handle the event but excited to take part. Ellie and Roddy look like they are going to be a formidable team in the future as they came away from their first competition together with three rosettes – a 1st, 3rd and 4th!
Lauren Twist, an Underwriter in our Personal Lines team, braved the weather to hand out our rosettes in Class 8, which we have sponsored throughout the winter as part of one of the many events that we are delighted to get involved with through our Social Responsibility Committee.
Michelle asked Ellie’s mother, Emma Mauger, what it means for companies like Insurance Corporation to help sponsor a Class in the winter series. Emma said “It’s crucial for the Winter Jumping to achieve sponsors as the event couldn’t go ahead without it. The sponsorship pays for the class, but also provides all the rosettes for the children, which gives them an incentive to do really well. Plus it’s a great day out for the family”.
Congratulations to Kaia Robilliard and Tom for winning Class 8; Elysia Littlewood and Sherlock for coming 2nd and Ellie Mauger and Roddy for coming 3rd. Further congratulations go to Kira Avery who won the Insurance Corporation trophy in Class 16.
A special thank you must go to Kerri and the team at La Carriere Stables, Baubigny for all their hard work in making this event possible for everyone to take part.
We look forward to seeing everyone again in September for the 2016/2017 Winter Jumping Series!
